Climbskin is a hand repair cream engineered for climbers, by climbers. How many times was your body willing but your hands shredded? No longer.
The skin absorption and penetration of Climbskin is much higher than wax-based products, so there is deeper hydration, better skin regeneration, and less residue. Wax-based products sit on the surface of your hand and trap the moisture, which can actually slow down healing wounds and cracks. Climbskin is more readily absorbed and deeply hydrates your tissue using the most potent skin regenerative agents found in nature.
Unlike other balms, you apply Climbskin 1-2 hours prior to climbing. This hydrates your skin, preventing splits and reducing sweating. After climbing, wash your hands and apply again to hydrate your skin. The unique combination of essential oils regenerate your skin, leaving you ready to go day after day.
Climbskin was developed by a chemist, a biologist, and a dermatologist with the goal of creating a product that keeps your skin in the best condition for crushing.
Climbskin contains no artificial colors or perfumes. The entire manufacturing process is environmentally friendly and cruelty free (not tested on animals).

Climbskin Double-Sided Hand and Finger File:
This pocket-sized, hand-made file is the perfect pair with our chalk and Climbskin to keep your skin in the best condition. Round out your kit and always know where it is thanks to the handy orange string that stands out in the gym or at the crag.
The wood is curved to give better balance and help you work around the natural contours of your fingers.
It comes with 2 replaceable sandpapers - 1 smooth and 1 abrasive - one on each side of the file.
You'll also get 4 extra sandpapers - 2 of each texture.
This is the best product that I've tried. It is non-greasy and keeps my hands and fingers in perfect condition.
Super stoked on the whole kit. Once I get a flapper it's hard to keep my skin from constantly peeling in weird layers over time and it's a bummer, but the file has been keeping my hands and fingers in check and the balm is nice for the post-sesh skin care.
Climbskin Hand Repair
The title says it all.
I bought this for my boyfriend who gets ungodly dry skin, and when paired with his climbing callouses and damaged skin, this cream does wonders.
This stuff just works. Love it!
Makes my hands feel great after a hard day outside or at the gym, plus grip friction goes way up with moisturized skin. Only takes a little bit. Add the file to keep those calluses down.
can't say if it's a placebo effect or not but it's working
Love this lotion!
Couldn’t believe how effective this stuff was. Buttery soft, but no greasy texture. I’ve always hated using lotion of any kind but this stuff is a must. Only gripe is the fact that I don’t love the smell; not terrible but not necessarily great.
The cream works well, smells good, and your hands aren’t useless like with wax based creams. The skin file was amazing. I’ve started climbing more, and a file is 100% necessary to maintain your calluses. This combo is a good deal if you’re really committed to climbing.
I’ve been using climbskin for a while now and have had great results. Unlike other greasy skin balms, this stuff allows you to apply it and keep your hands useable. I often apply it just before I drive home from the crag. Try doing that with the other stuff....
from pain to pleasure! you could climb with no skin only so much!...but you could climb so much with skin! CLIMBSKIN WORKS!
I’ve been using Climbskin for a little over a year and it’s the best product I’ve used, it does all it claims and is the only true non-greasy product I’ve used, you can use it 10 min before climbing. And I does help rebuild skin and just sooth sore skin.
Super happy about the file and cream. Hands feel much more confident on the rock and I don’t feel like I’m constantly about to pull a flapper. The skin on my fingers also doesn’t feel tender for as long when using the cream
Pretty good stuff
ClimbSkin works great, and it is my go-to for when I get splits and flappers. It works phenomenally, and I am able to make the 1oz container last for months. 💪💪💪💪💪
Started using Friction Labs' Climb Skin a week ago and the difference is incredible. Previously, I could climb three times a week, but after using Climb Skin after every session I have been able to climb five times with no trouble. My skin immediately feels better even after a couple hours of tearing my tips on tiny pinches. Definitely will be a continued user.
This was the best gift possible. She was so happy and began using the file right away. Thank you!
Great for after climbing. Keeps the skin from cracking and I notice my fingers feel better after use. The skin flie helps remove the rough spots and extra skin better then other store bought files.
I have been using ClimbSkin for about 3 or 4 months and it works fantastically! I put it on the night before I climb and then within an hour of finishing and my hands are always feeling great. Works just as advertised- doesn't leave your hands feeling slimy like some other products. The amount you get is small but it lasts quite a while because a little goes a long way- well worth the money. If you're on the fence give it a try, you'll never go back!
For reference I climb 4 times a week- mostly indoors at the moment.
I ordered the hand cream repair and it’s worked great on finger splits that have had trouble healing!
I bought this because I was wearing through my finger pads and I wanted to try a new skin care product. This thing is as advertised in my opinion.
It absorbs very quickly and leaves little to no residue on the skin. After a few weeks of use my finger pads have gotten noticeably tougher.
Climbskin Hand Repair
This stuff is insane! Doesn't leave any greasy residue and heals wounds quick!
got the climb skin repair balm and the callous scratchy thing. Both work well as advertised. would recommend. Also the balm is much smaller than you think it would be just a heads up.
This is my second time buying Climbskin. I love it - it keeps my hands from getting dry and crackly!
This is my second order of Climbskin, meaning I came back for more. Definitely love the versatile, non-greasyness of this cream. Can put it on whenever you want, and don't have to worry about greasing up holds or your keyboard. Highly recommended. A bit pricier than the comparative salves but more effective and goes a long way!!
Not only is this the best chalk around, the mobile online ordering was fast and simple! I’ve tried all the chalk out there, and nothing comes close to how long Friction Labs chalk lasts on my hands. I boulder predominantly and have very sweaty hands. “Unicorn Dust” is my chalk of choice! Also, I’ve used “Secret Stuff” multiple times to help me out with some serious sends when the temps are a little too warm.
Just need a little and definitely seems to be helping.
Have been buying FL for years and swear by it! It really does last much longer than any other chalk I’ve tried before.
Love the products - everything i've bought is of quality and customer support is great. Can't complain!
Trailing the climbskin hand repair. So far I like that it dries quickly without trace of residue. It seems to make the skin recover faster then usual after repetitive workouts.
I have tried just about every skin recovery product out there and nothing has come close to ClimbSkin. It dries instantly so your not paying to grease up everything you own.
Fast delivery and great price. Awesome product that helps treat my skin after a long day of climbing so I can do it all over again the next day. Saved my life when climbing at nationals.
I started using climbskin around a year ago. I was skeptical at first, but this stuff really does work! I use it before and after almost all of my climbing sessions, both indoor and out. Whether or not you use Friction Labs chalk, I would definitely try this product out.
I've been climbing for over 20 years and have definitely known the pain of not being able to climb because of skin issues especially the tips! ClimbSkin plus the file helps me care for my mitts by providing moister without losing that leathery feel that I love as a climber. It works!! I've got some on my desk, in my home bathroom, and in my daily bag.
Climbskin Hand Repair
Initially, I was skeptical on this product with the price and size but soon learned a little goes a long way and lasts about one month for me but ymmv. Compared to the other products I've tried, I like this one the most. Looking at the ingredient list, it's nothing far from the ordinary as well as some agents to thicken it up. Using it strictly after a climbing session or whenever my hands need a good refresher, I look forward to this. It feels like a hydrating glove is put on mixed with the cooling effects of a wet/frozen rag. The only thing that is off-putting is that a few minutes after applying, a thin layer rubs off and looks like dead skin.
Climb skin is a great addition to your skin care kit! It is absorbed quickly and does not leave your skin feeling greasy like some other products. It’s a great option if you want to add some extra moisture to keep skin pliable and prevent splits, you can even use it on your way to the crag as long as you give it 1-2 hours to fully absorb before climbing! I apply daily to freshly washed hands.
The climb skin comes at a great price when you buy four but I was disappointed to find that the file which was advertised with the four pack did not come in my order.
Best stuff for my hands. Tried a few others and like this the best. Works it's way in quickly and doesn't feel greasy or waxy.
Climbskin Hand Repair
my hands are moist
I've been using Hoofmaker for a long time (because it's not greasy) as my go to hand cream, but it doesn't really help me to rebuild the skin. This one seem to work though, but I only use it in disastrous no-skin-left situations and during climbing trips, because it's so expensive, it's crazy.
Climskin feels great after a long day climbing and much better than alternative products with wax that gets all over everything.
Climbskin Hand Repair
My skin is so, so dry and I've never found anything that really helps. Using this after climbing has done wonders for my skin.
I was having problems with my old chalk but now since getting the bundle from friction labs my hands feel heaps better! Will definitely keep using!
What better way to help your climbing partners than to get them some climb skin and secret stuff ! Keep climbing ♀️
I love climbskin. It helps me toughen my skin while I sleep. Keeps my skin In great condition not too soft or dried out.
Within the very first moment that I tried Climbskin Hand Repair I know that it was different than other hand salves. After using it for one night there was a noticeable difference in the quality of the skin on my hands. I think I finally found the product for me. Now I don't know what to do with the others that I have acquired!
The climbskin repair creme is a must. My hands no longer look like this...
Climbskin will never leave you greasy and always keeps your skin in prime send condition. You'll find yourself hording it like gold
Climbskin Hand Repair is the best cream I've found to keep your hands healthy. It's not greasy and it absorbs quickly. I recommend it for anyone that uses chalk frequently and experiences dry hands post climbing or lifting.
Climbskin is perfect for repairing your hands after a long bouldering session. Really reduces skin tears and recovery times
Loved the stuff, it worked great
My hands dry out constantly and climbskin really does the trick to keep the rips away.
Climbskin works great. My hands have never been this soft, even while training. Have not had a single rip since I started using it!
Since I started Climbing, the skin on my fingertips has been have been glassy and hard. Climbskin repaird the skin and brought them back to life! Stop thinking about it and give them your money already.
Like all of their products, Frictionlabs skin repair is a "cut" above the competition!
I discovered Climbskin during a recent climbing trip. At the end of the day, my fingertips felt like someone had been poking needles into the pads all day. The next morning, my friend gave me some Climbskin and said if I put it on ONE HOUR before climbing, it would help. My fingers lasted me through the day. I have a 3-day trip to The Red coming up and I'm not resting! Climbskin is on my Essential List.
it was great so far
It works wonderfully! It isn't nasty and greasy and gritty like (for example) the Metolius balm. On the other hand the Metolius balm smells great and this stuff smells pretty stinking (pun intented) awful.
Climbskin is a great product and I have ordered several jars over the past few months. Climbskin is actually the reason I found the friction lab website. I work at a hospital and have to use harsh industrial soap for sterile compounding. Once I started climbing my hands would tear almost every session. Once my hands would callous, I would use the soap at work and they would soften and tear again and again. So since I found climbskin, I don't have to worry about my skin tearing anylonger. This product puts oils back into your hands that are essential to climbing. So I would definitely recommend this product for all climbers.
The deleviery was arriving really fast!!!
Can't wait to start this amazing product :)
I have tried all the various hand creams - and, for me, Climb Skin is the best. It works virtually overnight. And the small wooden hand 'sander' is perfect for daily use. Keep up the good stuff!!
In the past I let my hands fend for themselves and I would occasionally get breakdown of my skin and flappers. I stumbled across an article by Friction Labs on hand care including Climbskin and using the skin file and I've been trying it out over the past 2 weeks.
So far so good. My deepest fear that it would turn my manly, strong hands into soft, fragile baby skin has been so far proven wrong.
I also don't notice any extra moisture or slipperiness while I'm climbing, even if I apply it 1-2 hours before I climb as is recommended.
Not sure exactly how long it will last me but I've only been using a little bit each time so I think I should be good for awhile with the 4 pack.
We are climbers from china, once I used the Climbskin and let my friends know this amazing stuff, everyone climbing with climbskin and FrictionLabs chalk now. Also I ordered the balm for china team. We really appreciate the Frictionlabs team.
Thanks very much!
Products are great and they got here with the quickness.
Just buy it! It's amazing!
this stuff is so great! Makes my skin brand new again
I'm on my 5th tub of Climbskin, and I love how it goes on without feeling greasy. The last batches I got though, had a slightly sour odor that I didn't used to get (used to be more "nutty")
It's hard to overstate how brilliant this product is. Quick absorption, no greasy feel, nice easy open container and a good competitive price point. I've been using it for over a month now day in and day out, from hard training session in the gym to brutal days bouldering and even the long trad-multies gobies. I find myself complaining less about skin pain and more time spent climbing and it's that exactly what we're all looking to do.
Climbskin Hand Repair is fabulous! My skin absorbs it pretty much immediately, which allows me to carry on without "kid gloving" while waiting for greasy/oily residue to absorb or get smeared on everything I encounter. It moisturizes great and smells vaguely of shea and cocoa butter.
I love the formula. No matter how much product I apply my skin just sucks it up. <3
