Customer Reviews
No complaints and easy to refill
My daughter uses this for tennis and color guard, and she says it's been a lifesaver. No more dropped flags, ha. I've also overheard colleagues who climb rave about it. Will definitely be getting more!
Being fairly new to climbing, this was my first time buying chalk. I knew I didn't want loose chalk, makes too much of a mess and is wasteful. Googled chalk socks and this came up - some reviews said not enough chalk comes out of the sock but I disagree, it disperses a semi-even coating and doesn't get all over the place. Will definitely use this sock for the foreseeable future. Only question is what chalk does it come with? Is the unicorn fine chalk?
I'm always stoked on FL chalk and their products. The Magic Ball PRO is legit; it's a lovely improvement from past ideations.
PRO TIP: I fill my chalk balls with Unicorn dust but it's still rather chunky, so I take my chalk and put it in the NutriBullet to make it super fine and powdery. It prolongs chalk life also, so you're even better for the planet in the long run. It lasts way longer and you won't get big chunks flying out at the gym and crag. TRY IT!
5 of 5 stars from one OG climber to the next!
The chalk is very good. I bought the original chalk sock about four years ago and the drawstring broke rather quickly but it was good chalk and the one sock worth of chalk lasted me about 3 years of semi-regular climbing. I didn't think I would care about chalk brand but the replacement chalk I bought was definitively inferior to this chalk.
The magic pro is just a sock. I read a review that said it was just a sock and I thought sure, isn't every chalk ball essentially a sock? But when I got it and went to investigate the high tech hardware free closure system...its just a sock that you twist and fold back over itself. I don't regret buying this sock, but I was a bit disappointed by its pure sockiness.
