Thanks for the stuff. I like the quality gear.
The stuff gives me the right grip during my kettlebell snatch workouts. Easy on and less mess...
Love the gottilla grip. Having those lumps to crush between your fingers is very satisfying as well as providing great grip.
Have bought several brands and types of chalk. Luv luv luv the secret stuff! You really only need a drop, great coverage and staying power. No need to re chalk even after hard 1 hour workout w weights, bars and KB. Try it!
As someone who has sweaty hands while climbing regular chalk has to be reapplied regularly to keep my hands dry. With the liquid chalk I can use that as a great base coat before applying regular chalk and the result is much longer lasting dryness
Super fast shipping and great service! I've used the Secret Stuff before and it's a life saver if you have exceptionally sweaty hands!
Chalk, brush and stickers - perfect Xmas gift
Used as a base layer for my schweddy hands. This mixed with Gorilla Grip kept the friction on all night long. Definitely helped my chalk consumption!
Just got another order the Unicorn Dust and this stuff never ceases to amaze me. Great chalk for my sweaty mitts. The only stuff I'll use. Can't wait to pair it with the secret stuff for longer boulder problems.
This stuff is everything FL says it is....thank you, FL!!! I'm sticking to the sky!!
This it the best way to keep your skin dry. I use it as a base layer of chalk works perfect! As They say use less do more and that is exactly what happens with this!
I always thought the idea of liquid chalk was weird as hell, but this stuff really helps me out.
First thing I do is use this and dry out my hands. Then i use it again after I touch something greasy in the gym.
On the real, total life saver.
Super cool and sturdy holds a lot of chalk but o can't imagine it getting ripped
I really thank you for shipping items to Japan! Secret stuff is the best choice for hard problems! Many many thanks!
I'll never stop using secret stuff. Most clean, most pure, and most friction. Best chalk out there.
I love this liquid chalk.. I actually got this single as a sample in a larger order. I use the large bottle of it though. It's great as a base layer to get rid of all the crap on your hands from the day. It lasts a while and when it begins to flake off I simply reapply with loose friction labs chalk and I'm good to go for more climbs!
It is a great base layer to send hard
Don't skimp on chalk! Friction Lab chalks are all amazing and once trying them, I never want to go back!
The Secret Stuff is really awesome! I love that I can put it on at the start of a session and barely rechalk. I have noticed that when I climb in the gym, I tend to chalk up more than on rocks, but I assume that has something to do with the texture and designs of the hold. Overall an amazing product and I would highly recommend it.
Keeps your hands dry without drying them out. Also the grip is fantastic. I could get up entire walls in my gym that I really had to work at without stopping to chalk up after putting this stuff on. It's really excellent.
Secret stuff is great gave a me a good base of chalk for my entire session.
I had heard good things about liquid chalk, and friction has a good rep, so I thought I'd start there. I've really enjoyed it. I use their climb skin lotion about 30 minutes before I climb, and then I add the liquid chalk as a base on my tips before chalking up. My chalk lasts longer, and I feel really solid. The combo has kept my skin healthier than it has been, and the holds feel better too. It is a bit expensive, but it takes so little of each to feel good, that it should last me a long time, so I'm happy with the value, and delighted in the performance.
I wouldn't reorder if I wasn't satisfied. Great stuff.
Not even necessary to dip into the chalk bag post application.
I absolutely love friction labs chalk and can't wait to test out that secret stuff!!!! Keep up the great work!!!
Love FL chalk. It's great on those schwarmy days and not so schwarmy days. I love the gorilla chalk and the liquid. Both suit my Rifle climbing needs better than any other brand out there. ONLY CHALK I WILL TOUCH.
This is the best chalk out there in keeping hands dryer for longer. Now in liquid form! Heck yeah.
Pretty good liquid chalk
The Friction Labs chalk, Unicorn Dust works great for when I need to chalk up quickly, and the comparison to other chalk is big. I feel more able to grab holds better and the chalk gives my hands better protection so it doesn't tear easily and feels much better when I'm done climbing.
After using the secret stuff for several days of climbing it is apparent it is better stuff than anything I've tried. It seems to stay on the hands for hours and after a layer of gorilla grip it seems very hard to beat. Definitely worth the money!
Instantly dry, and great coverage. Plus, it makes for a good party trick!
I'd been curious about FL's secret stuff and finally ordered some. I didn't know what to expect when I put it on but it blew me away. My hands went from dirty and sweaty to cleaner and chalked up in a matter of seconds. It's perfect for using as a base layer before going up a route.
Not too drying - works great :)
So I have long been a fan of friction labs chalk. After my subscription had my shelf pretty well stocked with unicorn dust and gorilla grip, I switched over to the secret stuff just to play around. I don't use it consistently throughout my sessions but throw a dab on to start each day. I really think it helps keep my hands seeded throughout my climb and I actually get better use out of my chalk bag as a result. I can stretch 75ml pretty far!
Great stuff! I would definitely buy it again!
This was my first time trying the secret stuff and I loved it. Not only was watching it appear all over my hands after rubbing it in really mesmerizing but I've never had such great chalk coverage on my hands. It was perfect for a fantastic day of climbing in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. My hands were sticky and perfect for a day of slab climbing.
It works awesome, I love using this stuff as a base at the beginning of a climb and chalking up as necessary.
I tried bouldering for the first time a few weeks ago. I noticed that within moments of chalking up, my hands were pink again while my friend's stayed all nice and white. He said I must be nervous, but I said I always have trouble with sweaty hands at yoga. So, he sent me on a quest for better chalk. I have been using Secret Stuff and Gorilla grip for bouldering AND yoga class since then and its a total game changer. Magic! I like that when I go to reapply the secret stuff, I can choose to just get it on my palms (for yoga) or fingers (for climbing), in between general chalking.
The new secret stuff is incredible! I train in Central Queensland where it's hot and humid most of the time but starting with a base layer of secret stuff has really helped and allows me to climb for longer sessions before my skin gives out
I ordered the Secret Stuff a week ago and is arrived yesterday just in time for Thursday night climbing. It worked great one application was enough to last over several warm up climbs and I suspect it would have lasted a lot longer if I didn't have to belay in between climbs. Happy to recommend the Secret Stuff.
Exactly what I was looking for from friction labs ☺ stays on as a great base layer, helping me crush in this cold weather outside
Freaking awesome!!! It's like magic in a tube.
Drys fast and stays strong
I suffer from over sweaty hands. I might have been wishing for the ultimate cure when I should have known there is no such thing. Secret stuff didn't blow me away or do anything more special to me than dry or other liquid chalks.
One recommendation I'd strongly make for Friction Lab: create the bottles with a hole, or loop, or some sort of method for which they may be hung and attached to climbing harnesses.
This stuff is legit! Great for when you need to pull hard or stay dry on the proj. Ptssssat! Thanks for the great project.
Secret stuff works great, no need to reapply, cleans up easily. Use it both at the gym and crags!
Love it immediately. A little goes a long way and I'm able to get 3-4 extras burns in compared to just chalk. Then I combined application of the secret stuff followed by application of chalk and it was just heavenly! Great product, packs light. Highly recommend.
The secret stuff is so far the best liquid chalk I have tried. Without liquid chalk my palms sweat buckets to the point of actually making holds wet at times. With the secret stuff it does not overly dry my hands out with isopropyl alcohol like some other kinds, but it feels much more like chalk that lasts a long time
I recently got into climbing with my kids. Our first trip out to the local gym I realized quickly that our hands became sweaty fast. I began doing a search for chalk specifically used for climbing. It wasn't long before my search turned up Friction Labs. I watched the short video of what happens when you apply the Secret Stuff. I ordered one tube of Secret Stuff, the unicorn dust chalk, and the gorilla grip chalk. It couldn't believe how much of a difference the chalk or Secret Stuff made, but it was undeniable. We can climb for hours with no need to reapply the liquid chalk. Thank you for making this awesome product. I will defiantly be ordering more in the near future.
This stuff is awsome!! Totally worth it. I also really love this stuff for hang board because you don't need to chalk up as much and you also don't ever get to much chalk which can be a prob during hang board. Get some!!!
This stuff is great. My hands sweat a lot while I climb, especially in the gym so I started using liquid chalk as a base. The secret stuff is much better than any other I've tried. It takes much much less to get a good base, it holds up well to indoor bouldering (which is where I use it most) so that I I really only feel the need to reapply once in a 2+ hour session and sometimes not even that much. My skin stays dry and that makes my regular chalk do its job that much better. Love this stuff and I will continue to use it.
I got hooked on Secret Stuff when I started using it for hangboard repeaters and found that I didn't need to chalk up again between reps! This stuff is amazing for training and climbing outside!
I used this for the first time last night on some pretty rough holds. I usually can only handle a few hours then my skin is peeling.. But the secret stuff really made a huge difference. Paired with Unicorn dust, the perfect combination. Use less loose chalk, and take care of those fingers!
I love this stuff. It cleans my hands and then dries this amazing layer of chalk into each little pore and wrinkle. I primarily use it in the gym and one coating lasts many climbs. I usually apply a layer at the beginning of my session and then use the Magic Ball for the duration (btw, currently I refilled my Magic Ball with Unicorn Dust and it works awesomely). Highly recommended.
The new version is great. Makes it a lot easier to control how much to use. Using both the Secret stuff(liquid Chalk) and there other chalk, you get a great combination that almost never goes away and that's because i sweat like crazy.
The new Secret Stuff container has been drastically improved compared to the older versions. You have more control of the volume of "Stuff" you apply than before with the old canister versions. It applied more evenly, stayed on longer and the chalk felt more like a liquid than the "lotion" from before, which was an improvement (probably since it didn't dry up quickly in the canister like before). I coupled this with some Harambe grip (the blue chunky friction labs chalk) and put down a short term project first go in hazy/humid conditions. I could definitely see myself getting more.
Secret Stuff really creates good friction between you and the rock. Just spent the weekend in Lake Tahoe, CA and climbed my first V10 with the secret stuff! Loving it! - Zack
If you're not new to the liquid chalk world then you know there's quite a bit of different products out there. I've tried a lot of them marketed towards rock climbing. Some work ok while others are just complete junk. I'm a route setter so I'm always chalking up b/c the new holds literally eat the chalk right off your hands. A little bit of of this stuff goes a long way and I find myself having to chalk my hands less. Of course, out door climbing with this stuff is awesome. Depending on your activity you may need to reapply powder chalk. My hands tend to sweat a little when I climb so regardless if I have this liquid chalk as my base layer, it will EVENTUALLY ware off. Keep in mind it takes a while though, as I climb for around 3-4 hours.
This stuff stays on great. I used it in the sun and shade this past weekend and always felt like I had great friction. It creates a nice thin layer of chalk everywhere you need it.
I've used this outside twice - once in cold/cool conditions and once in warm/hot. I love it as a base to work from for future chalk-up. My hands are dry and clean, not caked up with chalk and perspiration. Also a great refresher mid way through the day. I use this 3 times a day during a full 8 hour outing and would guess a tube will last 20-25 climbing days. I let 3 people try it this weekend and they all plan to order the product. No complaints so far. The tube is a great idea and is easy to transport and find in your crag bag during the day.
The new tube is a great improvement over the original design and avoids a lot of the drying-out problems (so far) with the previous iterations. It coats my hands well enough for about four boulder problems in a warm up or just about two problems further in to my session when my hands are a bit more sweaty. It's great as a base layer as the alcohol definitely helps clean my hands to make a better surface for adhesion of later chalk. I do still find myself using regular chalk though as a re-up throughout my sessions. It would be pretty expensive, I think, to constantly use this as my sole source of chalk.
My only real complaint has been remembering to shake the tube up before you use it. With this iteration, it seems like I'm getting a bit of liquid out every time i open the cap unless I shake it pretty hard (very similar to the liquid from a ketchup bottle if you don't shake it)
So far, so great! Used it both on rock and lifting in the gym. I didn't have to chalk up hardly at all (except for the mental edge, you all do it too, don't lie). I am curious to see how it stands the test of time in terms of evaporation and dispensing properties with the new bottle/possible product formula change but as of right now, satisfied with the great results! Nice chalk film layer and great surprise factor for the dude bros not expected insta-chalked, magic hands.
I haven't used the new stuff yet but I can only imagine it performs better than the old. This stuff is great, it drys your hands right away and leaves a thin smooth layer of chalk. It's also a bonus that it makes me feel like a wizard when I put it on.
I've been with Friction Labs since the first time around of liquid chalk. Even though the bottle had a few issues, I heavily supported it. This new chalk is just a bigger improvement. No bottle issues, stronger formula so you can use less, and it lasts longer. If you buy anything besides Friction Labs products, you are making a mistake.
Went to the gym after I got my new secret stuff and used just a pea size amount which covered my palms. Then I sent a problem and just chalked up using my hands. One "chalk up" lasted me three sends. It's the same with the loose chalk, but this is liquid chalk. Really impressed!
I have never tried any chalk creams before, so I wasn't sure what I'd be getting myself into. But I have to sy that I am wildly impressed. I've been using the unicorn dust in the friction labs chalk ball for a few weeks, and I still find myself needing to chalk up between nearly every climb (my gym is really humid). With the cream, I put it on once before my first climb, and it lasted my through 3-4 climbs before I needed to touch it up with some chalk.
After applying chalk over the cream, I was able to reduce how much I used by a ton/ This stuff won't be what I use all day, but it definitely will always be what I use first
New design, drier hands, stronger holds.
I love Secret Stuff's concept of dustless, only where you need it chalk, and appreciate that it comes in a tube now. But somehow, someplace, little air pockets form in the tube and it comes out in volcanic eruptions that either blast way too much, or it spatters. Maybe I just don't have the application process down yet...I will keep at it. Thanks for the samples!
If you forget to shake the bottle before opening, the clear, liquid fluid spews out and has a strong alcohol smell. However, once you shake it, it goes on your hands very nicely and spreads evenly and dries quickly. No mechanical problems do to the simple squirt-bottle design! Stays on great as a base layer, but I recommend dipping your hands in other chalk after you put the base layer on with this Secret Stuff.
