Climbskin is a hand repair cream engineered for climbers, by climbers. How many times was your body willing but your hands shredded? No longer.
The skin absorption and penetration of Climbskin is much higher than wax-based products, so there is deeper hydration, better skin regeneration, and less residue. Wax-based products sit on the surface of your hand and trap the moisture, which can actually slow down healing wounds and cracks. Climbskin is more readily absorbed and deeply hydrates your tissue using the most potent skin regenerative agents found in nature.
Unlike other balms, you apply Climbskin 1-2 hours prior to climbing. This hydrates your skin, preventing splits and reducing sweating. After climbing, wash your hands and apply again to hydrate your skin. The unique combination of essential oils regenerate your skin, leaving you ready to go day after day.
Climbskin was developed by a chemist, a biologist, and a dermatologist with the goal of creating a product that keeps your skin in the best condition for crushing.
Climbskin contains no artificial colors or perfumes. The entire manufacturing process is environmentally friendly and cruelty free (not tested on animals).

You'll also get 4 extra sandpapers - 2 of each texture.
Have been buying FL for years and swear by it! It really does last much longer than any other chalk I’ve tried before.
Love the products - everything i've bought is of quality and customer support is great. Can't complain!
Trailing the climbskin hand repair. So far I like that it dries quickly without trace of residue. It seems to make the skin recover faster then usual after repetitive workouts.
I have tried just about every skin recovery product out there and nothing has come close to ClimbSkin. It dries instantly so your not paying to grease up everything you own.
Fast delivery and great price. Awesome product that helps treat my skin after a long day of climbing so I can do it all over again the next day. Saved my life when climbing at nationals.
I started using climbskin around a year ago. I was skeptical at first, but this stuff really does work! I use it before and after almost all of my climbing sessions, both indoor and out. Whether or not you use Friction Labs chalk, I would definitely try this product out.
I've been climbing for over 20 years and have definitely known the pain of not being able to climb because of skin issues especially the tips! ClimbSkin plus the file helps me care for my mitts by providing moister without losing that leathery feel that I love as a climber. It works!! I've got some on my desk, in my home bathroom, and in my daily bag.
Climbskin Hand Repair
Initially, I was skeptical on this product with the price and size but soon learned a little goes a long way and lasts about one month for me but ymmv. Compared to the other products I've tried, I like this one the most. Looking at the ingredient list, it's nothing far from the ordinary as well as some agents to thicken it up. Using it strictly after a climbing session or whenever my hands need a good refresher, I look forward to this. It feels like a hydrating glove is put on mixed with the cooling effects of a wet/frozen rag. The only thing that is off-putting is that a few minutes after applying, a thin layer rubs off and looks like dead skin.
Climb skin is a great addition to your skin care kit! It is absorbed quickly and does not leave your skin feeling greasy like some other products. It’s a great option if you want to add some extra moisture to keep skin pliable and prevent splits, you can even use it on your way to the crag as long as you give it 1-2 hours to fully absorb before climbing! I apply daily to freshly washed hands.
The climb skin comes at a great price when you buy four but I was disappointed to find that the file which was advertised with the four pack did not come in my order.
Best stuff for my hands. Tried a few others and like this the best. Works it's way in quickly and doesn't feel greasy or waxy.
Climbskin Hand Repair
my hands are moist
I've been using Hoofmaker for a long time (because it's not greasy) as my go to hand cream, but it doesn't really help me to rebuild the skin. This one seem to work though, but I only use it in disastrous no-skin-left situations and during climbing trips, because it's so expensive, it's crazy.
Climskin feels great after a long day climbing and much better than alternative products with wax that gets all over everything.
Climbskin Hand Repair
My skin is so, so dry and I've never found anything that really helps. Using this after climbing has done wonders for my skin.
I was having problems with my old chalk but now since getting the bundle from friction labs my hands feel heaps better! Will definitely keep using!
What better way to help your climbing partners than to get them some climb skin and secret stuff ! Keep climbing ♀️
I love climbskin. It helps me toughen my skin while I sleep. Keeps my skin In great condition not too soft or dried out.
Within the very first moment that I tried Climbskin Hand Repair I know that it was different than other hand salves. After using it for one night there was a noticeable difference in the quality of the skin on my hands. I think I finally found the product for me. Now I don't know what to do with the others that I have acquired!
The climbskin repair creme is a must. My hands no longer look like this...
Climbskin will never leave you greasy and always keeps your skin in prime send condition. You'll find yourself hording it like gold
Climbskin Hand Repair is the best cream I've found to keep your hands healthy. It's not greasy and it absorbs quickly. I recommend it for anyone that uses chalk frequently and experiences dry hands post climbing or lifting.
Climbskin is perfect for repairing your hands after a long bouldering session. Really reduces skin tears and recovery times
Loved the stuff, it worked great
My hands dry out constantly and climbskin really does the trick to keep the rips away.
Climbskin works great. My hands have never been this soft, even while training. Have not had a single rip since I started using it!
Since I started Climbing, the skin on my fingertips has been have been glassy and hard. Climbskin repaird the skin and brought them back to life! Stop thinking about it and give them your money already.
Like all of their products, Frictionlabs skin repair is a "cut" above the competition!
I discovered Climbskin during a recent climbing trip. At the end of the day, my fingertips felt like someone had been poking needles into the pads all day. The next morning, my friend gave me some Climbskin and said if I put it on ONE HOUR before climbing, it would help. My fingers lasted me through the day. I have a 3-day trip to The Red coming up and I'm not resting! Climbskin is on my Essential List.
it was great so far
It works wonderfully! It isn't nasty and greasy and gritty like (for example) the Metolius balm. On the other hand the Metolius balm smells great and this stuff smells pretty stinking (pun intented) awful.
Climbskin is a great product and I have ordered several jars over the past few months. Climbskin is actually the reason I found the friction lab website. I work at a hospital and have to use harsh industrial soap for sterile compounding. Once I started climbing my hands would tear almost every session. Once my hands would callous, I would use the soap at work and they would soften and tear again and again. So since I found climbskin, I don't have to worry about my skin tearing anylonger. This product puts oils back into your hands that are essential to climbing. So I would definitely recommend this product for all climbers.
The deleviery was arriving really fast!!!
Can't wait to start this amazing product :)
I have tried all the various hand creams - and, for me, Climb Skin is the best. It works virtually overnight. And the small wooden hand 'sander' is perfect for daily use. Keep up the good stuff!!
In the past I let my hands fend for themselves and I would occasionally get breakdown of my skin and flappers. I stumbled across an article by Friction Labs on hand care including Climbskin and using the skin file and I've been trying it out over the past 2 weeks.
So far so good. My deepest fear that it would turn my manly, strong hands into soft, fragile baby skin has been so far proven wrong.
I also don't notice any extra moisture or slipperiness while I'm climbing, even if I apply it 1-2 hours before I climb as is recommended.
Not sure exactly how long it will last me but I've only been using a little bit each time so I think I should be good for awhile with the 4 pack.
i like the cream's application and overall feel. it definitely makes my hands feel not dry. There's definitely a bit of a smell to the product. it's not bad, but it's not really pleasing either.
don't get me wrong, i bought several jars. by the way, love the jar design. curious to see how i long i take to finish a whole jar.
We are climbers from china, once I used the Climbskin and let my friends know this amazing stuff, everyone climbing with climbskin and FrictionLabs chalk now. Also I ordered the balm for china team. We really appreciate the Frictionlabs team.
Thanks very much!
Products are great and they got here with the quickness.
Just buy it! It's amazing!
this stuff is so great! Makes my skin brand new again
I'm on my 5th tub of Climbskin, and I love how it goes on without feeling greasy. The last batches I got though, had a slightly sour odor that I didn't used to get (used to be more "nutty")
It's hard to overstate how brilliant this product is. Quick absorption, no greasy feel, nice easy open container and a good competitive price point. I've been using it for over a month now day in and day out, from hard training session in the gym to brutal days bouldering and even the long trad-multies gobies. I find myself complaining less about skin pain and more time spent climbing and it's that exactly what we're all looking to do.
Climbskin Hand Repair is fabulous! My skin absorbs it pretty much immediately, which allows me to carry on without "kid gloving" while waiting for greasy/oily residue to absorb or get smeared on everything I encounter. It moisturizes great and smells vaguely of shea and cocoa butter.
I love the formula. No matter how much product I apply my skin just sucks it up.
ClimbSkin is non-greasy and highly effective, meaning I can put it on and know that my hands are being taken care of while going straight on to my next task without worrying about getting grease all over everything. It soaks in immediately and does a fantastic job of keeping my hands in great climbing shape! Get some!
We have tested several chalk companies and have come to the conclusion that Friction Labs stands up the best. It provides the best coverage and lasts the longest per application. Love the product!
As a new climber I found my hands getting shredded pretty easily. This cream was magic at making my raw hands feel better during the healing process and has become a regular part of the routine to keep my hands healthy while climbing.
Climbskin Hand Repair
As always an INCREDIBLE product - not so much with the direction of the company and prices increasing every few months and passing cost/overhead off to the (loyal) consumer/fan. Even amidst being the new standard in an exploding market/industry (of predominately more than well off individuals). Just saying. That aside the product is special, awesome and incredible. Who knew the wheel could be reinvented?? I LOVE the awesome Erlenmeyer flask logo too (they used to include a sticker with orders but it seems the overhead of a single BW-die cut sticker exceeds the benefits/return from loyal fans giving them free advertising. All in all this chalk is incredible. Buy it!!
Non-greasy, prevents splits, keeps sweating down, smells nice....what more could you ask for?
Expensive, but worth it. I like that it doesn't leave your hands feeling greasy and I am amazed at how much it accelerates skin regeneration. I have not torn since I started using climbskin along with the skin file, which has been a welcome change. I was using Joshua tree and tearing once a weekish and always having to tape my hands to climb, now I just chalk up and climb until the rest of my body fails
Great product. I apply a couple hours before my climbing session and right after. No greasy feeling and I've noticed my skin is noticeably softer and less cracked!
The file works great. I've been wanting to file my finger calluses for a long time, and it was such a relief to finally be able to. Shouldn't catch and make flappers as often. So far, I like the cream. My hands seem to hold up better for the next climb.
My hands don't rip anymore.
I'm a climber, and a hard worker, so my hands take quite a beating. This product allows me to be at my best by getting my hands at that threshold between dry and moist; if your hands are too dry, they are prone to cracking, and if they're too moist, they're prone to tearing. I usually apply some cream a few hours before a climb, which gives me a nice base layer for when chalk is applied.
I absolutely love this product! I am not sponsored by any brand, but back this product as well as Friction Labs chalk. I just started purchasing direct from here rather than my gym. I don't let anything but Climbskin and Friction Labs chalk touch my hands. I have perpetually sweaty hands but still terrible cracking issues prior to the use of these two products. I apply Climbskin every morning. I love the smell as well as how it does not leave my hands oily feeling. My recovery time for healing my skin between long hard days of climbing has reduced to over night. I have tried many organic brands and different moisturizers. They constantly left me with either dry skin or softened my calluses to the point of having to rebuild skin from scratch. My calluses are smoother and still tough. I don't have near the fear of getting a flapper as much as I did prior to having quality skin product made for climbers demands. Thank you Friction Labs for the awesome customer service and outstanding products to keep me crushing!
Climbskin does a great job at keeping your skin in reasonable shape to keep climbing. It is, after all a skin care product, so don't just toss it in your climb pack. Share it! My wife (doesn't climb) loves it because it works for her, she gardens and most importantly (to her) , it heals her hands/fingers from her constant knitting & crocheting like a maniac! Also works wonders for feet, BONUS!
Hands used to be super rough after long days at the wall and take ages to heal properly. Climbskin helps speed that process up and my calluses are actually smoother now because of it. Good purchase!
This stuff makes my hands feel awesome. It's not greasy and helps keep my hands from getting torn up climbing 3-4 days a week
Just like your chalk, it is awesome!
I'm kind of a newbie when it comes to climbing, so my hands have been totally torn recently. At one point I had a blister on every finger, and on some I had multiple. My climbing friends just told me to toughen up and that it would go away, but after some research, this stuff looked the best. It is. No question. My hands have no blisters, and are completely healed now. I would recommend Climbskin to every climber. Great stuff.
So I started climbing about two months ago and due to my super addictive personality I went all in. I was climbing everyday for, like, 4 hours a session. My hands were beat. I got climb skin abut a week ago and let me tell you, this stuff is bomb. It's been hydrating my hands to the next level. 10/10. A+. Would recommend.
I absolutely love Climbskin products! I've had a lot of problems with flappers over the years and was searching for a solution to prevent them. I started out using the Climbskin hand cream before and after climbing which helped a little, but I still had to be very careful during bouldering sessions and sometimes stop climbing before I was ready due to my skin's condition. Then I got the skin file to go along with the cream, and I'm SO happy I did! My new regimen, which has worked like a charm and I don't even think about flappers anymore is this: About an hour before climbing I use the hand cream. At the end of my session I file off any uneven skin and smooth out my calluses, then I wash my hands, and finally I put on 1-2 layers of hand cream. It's such a relief to not worry about flappers anymore!
I've tried all the climbskin competitors and they don't even come close. The fact that it doesn't leave a waxy residue on your hands is the blow away feature. I use it both before and after climbing and my skin has never been better. I highly recommend it to everyone!
Yeah it's not greasy but it feels like dried soap on your hands due to all the glycerin and mineral oil. Personally, I find the smell slightly unpleasant but it's not a very strong smell so it may not bother most. I'll stick with a beeswax product...greasiness and all. At this price point I'd rather order ProBalm all the way from the UK.
My climbing partner had some Climbskin and I used this for the first time on a wall in Yosemite a few weeks ago. It really helped to limit the damage from 2 weeks of climbing.
It is not the first. Sypelands, joshua tree, balm bomb, the list can go on for days of the climbers who have made their own "specifically for climbers". FL chalk is great, the balm, I literally saw NO difference. After 3 in a row days on, climbing 11s and 12s, I decided I would apply climbskin to my right hand but not my left. 3 days later and 2 more days climbing, I could see no difference between no balm and climb skin balm. I know people who swear by this stuff, but I saw no difference
