Climbskin is the first hand cream engineered for climbers. How many times was your body willing but your hands shredded? No longer.
The skin absorption and penetration of Climbskin Hand Cream is much higher than wax-based products, so there is deeper hydration, better skin regeneration, and less residue. Wax-based products sit on the surface of your hand and trap the moisture, which can actually slow down healing wounds and cracks. Climbskin is more readily absorbed and deeply hydrates your tissue using the most potent skin regenerative agents found in nature.
Unlike other balms, you apply Climbskin 1-2 hours prior to climbing. This hydrates your skin, preventing splits and reducing sweating. After climbing, wash your hands and apply again to hydrate your skin. The unique combination of essential oils regenerate your skin, leaving you ready to go day after day.
Climbskin was developed by a chemist, a biologist, and a dermatologist with the goal of creating a product that keeps your skin in the best condition for crushing.
Climbskin Hand Cream contains no artificial colors or perfumes, just natural ingredients, combined to give a pleasant aroma, natural and characteristic.
The entire manufacturing process is environmentally friendly and cruelty free (not tested on animals).
Tincture of benzoin (Styrax benzoin)
Centella Asiatica (3%)
As always an INCREDIBLE product - not so much with the direction of the company and prices increasing every few months and passing cost/overhead off to the (loyal) consumer/fan. Even amidst being the new standard in an exploding market/industry (of predominately more than well off individuals). Just saying. That aside the product is special, awesome and incredible. Who knew the wheel could be reinvented?? I LOVE the awesome Erlenmeyer flask logo too (they used to include a sticker with orders but it seems the overhead of a single BW-die cut sticker exceeds the benefits/return from loyal fans giving them free advertising. All in all this chalk is incredible. Buy it!!
Non-greasy, prevents splits, keeps sweating down, smells nice....what more could you ask for?
Expensive, but worth it. I like that it doesn't leave your hands feeling greasy and I am amazed at how much it accelerates skin regeneration. I have not torn since I started using climbskin along with the skin file, which has been a welcome change. I was using Joshua tree and tearing once a weekish and always having to tape my hands to climb, now I just chalk up and climb until the rest of my body fails
Great product. I apply a couple hours before my climbing session and right after. No greasy feeling and I've noticed my skin is noticeably softer and less cracked!
The file works great. I've been wanting to file my finger calluses for a long time, and it was such a relief to finally be able to. Shouldn't catch and make flappers as often. So far, I like the cream. My hands seem to hold up better for the next climb.
My hands don't rip anymore.
I'm a climber, and a hard worker, so my hands take quite a beating. This product allows me to be at my best by getting my hands at that threshold between dry and moist; if your hands are too dry, they are prone to cracking, and if they're too moist, they're prone to tearing. I usually apply some cream a few hours before a climb, which gives me a nice base layer for when chalk is applied.
I absolutely love this product! I am not sponsored by any brand, but back this product as well as Friction Labs chalk. I just started purchasing direct from here rather than my gym. I don't let anything but Climbskin and Friction Labs chalk touch my hands. I have perpetually sweaty hands but still terrible cracking issues prior to the use of these two products. I apply Climbskin every morning. I love the smell as well as how it does not leave my hands oily feeling. My recovery time for healing my skin between long hard days of climbing has reduced to over night. I have tried many organic brands and different moisturizers. They constantly left me with either dry skin or softened my calluses to the point of having to rebuild skin from scratch. My calluses are smoother and still tough. I don't have near the fear of getting a flapper as much as I did prior to having quality skin product made for climbers demands. Thank you Friction Labs for the awesome customer service and outstanding products to keep me crushing!
Climbskin does a great job at keeping your skin in reasonable shape to keep climbing. It is, after all a skin care product, so don't just toss it in your climb pack. Share it! My wife (doesn't climb) loves it because it works for her, she gardens and most importantly (to her) , it heals her hands/fingers from her constant knitting & crocheting like a maniac! Also works wonders for feet, BONUS!
Hands used to be super rough after long days at the wall and take ages to heal properly. Climbskin helps speed that process up and my calluses are actually smoother now because of it. Good purchase!
This stuff makes my hands feel awesome. It's not greasy and helps keep my hands from getting torn up climbing 3-4 days a week
Just like your chalk, it is awesome!
I'm kind of a newbie when it comes to climbing, so my hands have been totally torn recently. At one point I had a blister on every finger, and on some I had multiple. My climbing friends just told me to toughen up and that it would go away, but after some research, this stuff looked the best. It is. No question. My hands have no blisters, and are completely healed now. I would recommend Climbskin to every climber. Great stuff.
So I started climbing about two months ago and due to my super addictive personality I went all in. I was climbing everyday for, like, 4 hours a session. My hands were beat. I got climb skin abut a week ago and let me tell you, this stuff is bomb. It's been hydrating my hands to the next level. 10/10. A+. Would recommend.
I absolutely love Climbskin products! I've had a lot of problems with flappers over the years and was searching for a solution to prevent them. I started out using the Climbskin hand cream before and after climbing which helped a little, but I still had to be very careful during bouldering sessions and sometimes stop climbing before I was ready due to my skin's condition. Then I got the skin file to go along with the cream, and I'm SO happy I did! My new regimen, which has worked like a charm and I don't even think about flappers anymore is this: About an hour before climbing I use the hand cream. At the end of my session I file off any uneven skin and smooth out my calluses, then I wash my hands, and finally I put on 1-2 layers of hand cream. It's such a relief to not worry about flappers anymore!
I've tried all the climbskin competitors and they don't even come close. The fact that it doesn't leave a waxy residue on your hands is the blow away feature. I use it both before and after climbing and my skin has never been better. I highly recommend it to everyone!
Yeah it's not greasy but it feels like dried soap on your hands due to all the glycerin and mineral oil. Personally, I find the smell slightly unpleasant but it's not a very strong smell so it may not bother most. I'll stick with a beeswax product...greasiness and all. At this price point I'd rather order ProBalm all the way from the UK.
My climbing partner had some Climbskin and I used this for the first time on a wall in Yosemite a few weeks ago. It really helped to limit the damage from 2 weeks of climbing.
It is not the first. Sypelands, joshua tree, balm bomb, the list can go on for days of the climbers who have made their own "specifically for climbers". FL chalk is great, the balm, I literally saw NO difference. After 3 in a row days on, climbing 11s and 12s, I decided I would apply climbskin to my right hand but not my left. 3 days later and 2 more days climbing, I could see no difference between no balm and climb skin balm. I know people who swear by this stuff, but I saw no difference
This stuff is average. Maybe a little better, and definitely the best feeling balm I have ever used bar none, However the healing it gives me is average at best.
Maybe its just Chris' man mits that make that jar look like a stack of dimes? Seriously? For that price you could get a six pack of your favorite micro-brew and a year's supply of IB profin, and you'd be happier. Please stop pushing this garbage on my Fb page. I only gave it one star because they made me.
I really like this stuff. It works well and dries quickly. That's probably it's best feature - quick drying. Also you should over do it. If you do, it cakes up. Best to apply in small amounts and do it frequently. It definitely helps get my mits ready for another climbing session.
I bought this for my boyfriend since he recently started rock climbing and he already have gotten multiple cuts on his fingers and palm. He seems to like this cream a lot and thinks it’s effective. :)
Too many ingredients.
This stuff is really great for fingers that have split several times, gives my hands the moisture they need after a good climb!!! Cant wait to get more of this stuff!!!
Works great and my hands aren't greasy!
Feels awesome after a long sesh.
I always have cracks in my fingers during the winter, but with a small amount I'm crackless!! Yay. Thanks!
Climbskin is very good hand moisturiser. My favourite aspect is that you can apply a very modest amount and imediately feel the benefits. It also does not leave any greasy feeling on your hands. It is still early days and because of the small volume containers I am using very sparingly.
Also bought some for my climbing partner and she is also very impressed!
Works OK for hands overnight using plastic gloves. No effect for foot cuts.
I've tried lots of healing ointments for my hands to help me get a faster recovery from injury and Climbskin works the best hands down! Thanks for another awesome product FrictionLabs!!! :)
I love it. I didn't leave any waxy or greasy film on my hands. I put it on before climbing, and really notice the difference that my hands don't get so beat up now, and my skin feels softer. Great product!
Your guys products are amazing! Keep up the great work!
Great stuff. Makes my hands feel healthy and dry as soon as I use it. Literally one of my favorite things for my hands right now.
i started climbing 2 months ago and was so tired of having ripped and bleeding hands to where I could climb for days! I tried Climbskin and it's a total game changer...no more rips and bleeding and I can shred as long as I want to!
This stuff is awesome. It dries quick and doesn't leave your hands all greasy. I personally think the smell is therapeutic. I apply about a pea size amount an hour or two before I climb and right after just to my fingers. My wife has even complimented on my soft hands and that they don't feel like sandpaper the day after I climb. Of course, you need the ClimbSkin file as well. Don't skimp on quality products, the price is right.
